getting to know me...

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about my experience as a therapist over the past 30+ years.  The focus of my outpatient practice is on long and short-term therapy with individuals and couples.  While I currently work as an independent practitioner only, in the past I have worked within inpatient and outpatient obstetric practices.

My practice is one of general psychotherapy for adults coping with self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions and relationship issues.

Another important part of my practice is grief counseling for women and men who have experienced pregnancy loss and who were in circumstances that required termination of their pregnancy. I also counsel individuals and couples considering adoption and provide ongoing post-adoption therapy.

These experiences coupled with my ongoing private practice have contributed to my ability to help many people deal with challenging life issues.  Although all of us experience conflict, times of unhappiness and worries about

relationship and work satisfaction, issues of low self-esteem or patterns of behavior we
don’t like but have trouble changing, perhaps one believes it is best to solve these problems on our own. There may be reluctance to seek professional help.

I am compassionate, collaborative, and have a strong belief that therapy provides individuals with an
opportunity to talk about their struggles and goals and to gain insight about the strengths and capacity to grow and change.

I am a clinician who is warm, attentive, thoughtful, non-judgmental and interactive. I am committed to finding ways to help you better understand yourself and enable you to make the changes in your life that you are striving
for.

I welcome the opportunity to meet to assess your needs and to determine whether it feels like  we would work well together. When you are ready to schedule your first visit, please call me to make an appointment at:
